Every Friday our Stamping Group has a contest on Facebook. We each submit a card and the following week a winner is announced. I won last week with my DIY Project Life cards. I was so excited. I will share what the prize is as soon as I received it.
This week I decided to think outside of the box. Did you know that the Project Life kit can be used for anything? You can use it for traditional scrapbooking, you can use it on cards, you can punch pieces of these cards for your projects and you can also use them as little notes to put in your child's lunch, or to brighten someone's day. Really the possibilities are endless. I have dropped a few journal cards in my regular handmade cards that I have sent. You can also keep a few of these in your purse and when you take a picture you can quickly journal what the memory is or use a few to give your child to write or color on while in a restaurant . You can also write little positive quotes on them. Seriously endless possibilities.
My sample is so easy. I used the Thinlit letters and the arrow punch. I colored the pearls with the night of navy blendabilties. The color scheme is soft sky, pacific point and mossy meadow.

Keeping the Post Office Busy
I have been busy for the past few days addressing Christmas cards to send to all my Stampin Friends. I also made cards for my new Team Members and current Team Members and sent Thank you cards to everyone that placed an order online this month. I love to make cards but I am horrible about sending them out. This was a HUGE accomplishment for me. Now I am off to address cards for our family Christmas cards. I am on a roll!!

Valentines Day OOPS

I had 4 classes this past weekend getting everyone ready for Valentines day. Last night my sweetie & I were watching TV and he presents me with a box of chocolates and a card. He couldn't wait! He's so cute. Every Holiday he gets so excited that he never waits to give me my present. My response was Thank you and in my mind I am thinking OOPS. I was so busy getting everyone else ready for Valentines Day that I forgot about my sweet hubby & the kids. Of course, when everybody went to bed I stayed up making their cards. Nothing like the last minute. I have had the Love Letterpress plate for months now and have never used it. I really like the Letterpress Plats they just give your project that extra special touch. The card with the Grosgrain ribbon is the one that I made for both of my boys. The Whisper White card with the Cherry Cobbler topper is the one that i made for my sweet hubby. I hope he likes it. Happy Valentines Day!

Baby Carriage Card
I have been wanting to make one of these cards since I saw it on Linda Aarhus blog. This is so easy to put together. I used the owl Punch to make the wheels. I find myself grabbing for the Owl punch all the time. It really does have more uses than just making an owl. I bet you could make these adorable carriages with the scallop circle die. That would make such a cute banner for a new mom. I might have to try that.

Just Believe
I love this stamp set. This is a GREAT anytime card. Baja Breeze used to be my favorite Stampin Up color but I think I like the Marina Mist even more. This is such a simple card that you can use for any occasion all you have to is just change the sentiment. The Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set would be perfect to coordinate with this card because it has so many sayings.
