Craft Show

I participated in a craft fair this weekend at Holy Cross Regional School. I met so many amazing people. I have never been to a craft fair with so many people. I did not sit down the entire day. I had so much fun and met a lot of new Stampin Friends. My husband had not planned to stay in the booth with me but because I was so busy he stayed and helped me. He was really suprised out how many people really love to stamp or want to learn to create. The pictures are before the Craft Fair started. I sold out of wrapped chocolates, homemade fudge, Reindeer Food and Santa & Snowman Wrapped Candy Bars. I had to take orders to be delivered. For anyone that ordered from me everything is ready to pick up. I LOVED the fact that I had to take orders. I still have a few Rudolph Spares & Tooth Fairy Tins. If anyone is interested shoot me an email at stampinwithfriends@gmail.com. Have a GREAt week!!

Stampin' Up! Making a Difference

I love being part of a company that has MAKING A DIFFERENCE as one of it’s core values. Thank you Stampin’UP! In addition to Granting a Wish through the Make A Wish Foundation in honor of it’s demonstrators, Stampin’UP! is donating half a million dollars to variety of organizations throughout the United States.

Stampin' Up! gives back at the holidays

At Stampin’ Up!, we believe in making a difference in the lives of others–whether they’re our demonstrators, our employees, the people who use our products, or children in need of a way to express their creativity.

Since 2005, Stampin’ Up! has been honored to participate in the TODAY Show’s Holiday Toy Drive. This year, Stampin’ Up! will be donating over $500,000 worth of stamping and paper crafting products to the following organizations:

•Action for Boston Community Development Inc.
•Alliance for Children’s Rights
•Boys & Girls Clubs Harford County
•Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York
•Community Partners of Dallas – Rainbow Room
•Diocese of Saint Augustine
•Friendship Project
•Help USA
•Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN)
•Kids In Need Foundation
•National Council of Jewish Women, Cleveland Section – The Dignity Project
•Operation Homefront
•Puerto Rican Family Institute
•St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital
•Stephen Siller Foundation/Katrina Fund
•Welcome House
•Youthbuild USA
In conjunction with the donation, Stampin’ Up!’s Shelli Gardner will make an appearance on NBC’s TODAY Show on Tuesday, December 6. We are honored and excited to once again participate in this annual holiday tradition of giving back and making a difference!

STAMPIN’ UP! DONATION ON BEHALF OF DEMONSTRATORS
GRANTS THREE-YEAR-OLD’S WISH

Three-year-old Birklee has a new wooden play set, a play set that she enjoys playing on with her family and friends. The play set helps take her mind off the things that a typical toddler shouldn’t have to be worried about, things like surviving hypoplastic left-heart syndrome (HLHS).

Birklee received the play set through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, when Stampin’ Up! granted her wish. We work with the foundation to grant the wish of at least one child every year, on behalf of our demonstrators and in lieu of an annual Christmas card.

“Through this donation, we hope our demonstrators feel how much we love and appreciate all they do, and that we celebrating our shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around us,” says Shelli Gardner.

Stampin’ Up! shares Make-A-Wish’s commitment to children, and we especially appreciate the organization’s desire to “enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.”

Birklee wish has certainly done that. The play set was completed recently, and Birklee and her family and friends celebrated with a fun princess party.

Scrapbook Class

Some of my ladies were interested in scrapbooking. I thought I would start off with 2 simple scrapbook pages. I made these 6x 6 scrapbook pages because I love that we carry 6x6 scrapbooks. These are perfect for the grandparents-kind of like brag books. If you are interested in scrapbooking please join us. We had a HOOT!!!

KISS

I love my Friday night KISS class. What is KISS? Kiss means Keep It Simple Sweetie. we make 5 easy cards. We get together and chat, some people bring food to share and we have a GREAT time.

Bag Tags

I talked to several demonstrators before Regionals and asked what they were bringing their swaps in. We all decided 31 organizer bags were the easiest thing to bring. Well I can only imagine what the confusion would be with all of the same bags so I made Bag Tags for myself and my BFF.

Bat Treat Bag

This was shared at Regionals by our Stampin' Up! Founder Shelly Gardner. It was an amazing day with so much info that I forgot to take notes on how to make this little guy. It took me a couple of attempts but I think he turned out adorable. We are making this at my Stamp Club on Sunday.

Supplies:
Big Shot
Spider Web Embossing Folder
Petal Cone Die
Crop a Dile
Perfect Pennants Die
Sticky Strip
1 3/4 Circle Punch
1 inch Circle Punch
Scraps- (Pumpkin Pie, Old Olve, Whisper White)
Basic Black Cardstock
Basic Black Ink Pad
Versa Mark Pad
Black Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
Powder Tray
Pumpkin Pie 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon
Bakers Twine
Red Glimmer Paper
Silver Glimmer Paper
Owl Punch
Wicked Cool Stamp Set

Directions:
-Cut out 2 Petal Cone Dies with your basic black paper
-Take your scissors and cut the top flaps off of each die
-Take your bats and versa mark pad and stamp them on the front of one of the cones
-Take your Blasck Embossing Powder and Heat Gun and Emboss your bats
-Assemble the Petal Cone Die with Sticky Strip
-Cut out 2 Perfect Pennants (the larger ones)-these are your wings
-One the wide side of the wings score straight down at 3/4
-Run the 2 wings back through with the spider web embossing folder
-Start on the wide side punch 1 3/4 circle and then 1 inch circle (you only need a small amount don't use the entire circle)
-Adhere the wings with sticky strip
-Punch a hole on both sides of the bats body and run your pumpkin pie ribbon through (tie a knot on each end)
-Shelly used Glimmer brads but I wanted to feature both of our glimmer papers. I used the large eyes from the owl punch and punched out 2 red pieces. Then I used the medium eyes from the owl punch and punched out 2 silver pieces.
-I freehand made the fangs using the whisper white scarp and paper snips
-Then I used the little decorative circle from the Pennant Die and ran a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock through. I stamped the Spooky image on Old Olive Card Stock and punched it with a 1 inch circle ounch. It is attached to the bag with a piece of Bakers Twine.

I hope you enjoy this little guy. I think he is adorable. If you need any of the supplies you can order them 24 hours a day. www.stampwithfriends.stampinup.net
